Harpenden Carnival

On 11th June 2016 the Hertfordshire village of Harpenden hosted its annual Carnival and in 2016 one of the beneficiaries from the funds raised will be Leukaemia Busters.   The charity was nominated by Carnival Chairman,  Joe Avison,  who was treated for leukaemia when he was boy.  

Luckily, the rain held off until mid-afternoon and the green was crowded with people all enjoying the various entertainments and stalls on offer.  Drs David and Bee Flavell attended and enjoyed tea with the Mayor of Harpenden, organisers Joe Avison and Nonie Benson, chair of Circle,  together with representatives of the other charities who will be co-beneficiaries of the funds raised at the event (see picture below)
