Skydive Day 2016

On Saturday 9th April 2016 Leukaemia Busters held a Skydive Day in conjunction with GO Skydive at Old Sarum Airfield, Salisbury.

Kirsty Batchelor, Katie Merritt and Sam Ryalls had signed up to jump that day.   They decided to take part because Kirsty’s father has been diagnosed with leukaemia and is currently undergoing treatment at Southampton General Hospital.  We send all our best wishes for his recoverY and our thanks to Kirsty and her friends for taking on this challenge.  Despite a sunny start to the day, the weather changed mid-morning so Kirsty’s team and their friends and families had a long wait until they were at last able to make their skydive at 4.00.  However, they had a great time and have raised over £1600 in sponsorship and donations for Leukaemia Busters.

If you were unable to join us for the Skydive Day but would still like to take on the Skydive Challenge, GoSkydive would welcome anyone who wishes to jump for Leukaemia Busters – simply give them a call on 01722 568755 and book a jump.  You can then give us a call and let us know what you are doing and we will give you any support you need to raise sponsorship and help us to save young lives.
