Test Valley Chapter Donation

On the 9th June Peter Jones (second from the right) and current Master Tony Barnes (far right) visited the Simon Flavell Research Laboratory in Southampton to present a cheque for £590.00 to Drs Bee and David Flavell.  This donation was from various fundraising events held by the Chapter and was inspired by Peter Jones, the ex Master, who recovered from Hairy Cell Leukaemia in 1989 thanks to the treatment at Southampton General Hospital.  

Dr David Flavell told Peter and Tony how grateful Leukaemia Busters was for the donation and explained about the research which is currently being carried out in the laboratory by the charity’s scientists.
