Pledge Raising Get Together

In order to raise her £100 Fundraising Pledge, Rachel Bennet and her friends held a get together.  

Rachel says:  We had some bits and bobs for sale all over the kitchen and conservatory like scarves, bags, jewellery and crystals (all things sold by friends), and then the garden was laid out with tables and chairs with tea lights in jam jars, and nibbles  I basically said to everyone local, to come around for a social, and I would do a raffle on the night for Leukaemia Busters. Around 40 ladies came along and of those who could not make it, some bought raffle tickets and then the rest was on the night. My friend also did dowsing for donations.  In short, we used it as a good excuse for a catch up and drink – but with far more people than normal in one go!

In total Rachel and her friends raised £437!  How easy does that sound?  Why not hold a similar social event and raise funds at the same time!
