The ultimate aim of any laboratory-based medical research is to translate discoveries into practical treatments for patients. This concept of translational research is often called from bench to bedside a term that describes the process perfectly.
The work that has been carried out previously and now supported by Leukaemia Busters as research fellowships has always been translational research in nature and will continue to be so for as long as we have the financial means to continue.
“It is the generosity of thousands of people past and present that has made the life saving work of Leukaemia Busters possible. To continue with our work we rely on your support as the charity receives no government or NHS money. Thank you everyone for your past support, we couldn’t have come this far without you but there is still much further to go”.
