Romsey Relay Marathon

On April 17th a team of 10 work colleagues from Ace Liftaway took part in this event held at Broadlands in Romsey.  Each team member had to run 2 x 1.3mile laps of the course which totalled up to a 26 mile marathon.  Each participant carried a relay baton and the speed of each lap was recorded – the team’s fastest runner recorded a time of 16.44 minutes!.  The team were raising funds for three charities and employee Russell Delves nominated Leukaemia Busters in memory of his father who died in 2009 at the age of 51.

The team raised £903 in sponsorships which was divided equally between Leukaemia Busters and two other charities – Meningitis NOW and the Congenital Myotonic Dystrophy Fight Fund.
