The Bournemouth Marathon 2016

BM2

Sophie Kelleway’s little cousin was recently diagnosed with leukaemia and has been undergoing the long journey of treatment at Southampton General Hopsital.  This prompted Sophie to decide to run farther than she ever had before on 2nd October 2016 and take part in the Bournemouth Marathon together with her stepfather Mark (pictured left with Sophie).

Sophie finished her Half Marathon with a few leg problems but was thrilled to finish safely in 2hrs 19 mins.  Mark had real problems with blisters from 12 miles onwards but still finished his Marathon in 5hrs 21mins.  Thank you so much both of you for all your fundraising efforts.

In the meantime, to add to her fundraising Sophie, her mother Lynne and her sister Rachael held 2 tea mornings on 24/25th September and her total sum raised now stands at at amazing £2100.00

Our thanks go to Sophie and her family for their fundraising.
