The Great South Run

Jamie McInnes and Luke Stevens took part in The Great South Run on 27th October.

Luke Stevens 27-10-13 croppedLuke, (left),  was treated for AML at Southampton General Hospital in 1994 when he was 10 years old, hence his reason to run to support Leukaemia Busters.  Luke ran the 10 mile distance in 1hr 23 mins 36 seconds and has raised over £1300 for us and we are very grateful – thank you Luke.

Jamie also was ill when he was a child, with leukaemia being suspected.  Luckily it turned out to be something less serious but since then he has heard countless times how stressful it was for his family  SOOO… any charity fund raising he does has always come to Leukaemia Busters.  Jamie has raised in excess of £726 for taking part in the Great South Run.  Thank you Jamie.
