Our Scientific Director Dr. David Flavell explains about the life saving research work being funded by Leukaemia Busters.
A challenging, long distance walk from Harmans Cross around the spectacular ruins of Corfe Castle to the Victorian Port of Swanage and back to Harmans Cross via the spectacular Purbeck coastline. This walk begins at Harmans Cross Village Hall. Walkers will walk up, via some great ridgeway walks, to and around Corfe Castle and loop out to the west before heading to the Unwell Checkpoint. They will then head to St Aldhelm's Head and Chapman's Pool where dolphins and porpoises are regular visitors. Once at Chapman's Pool, walkers will then head inland at Houns Tout and walk back to Harmans Cross.
This advanced walk is approximately 26 miles and is not suitable for children under 15. This walk should take about 10 hours to complete depending upon age and ability.
Note: This walk involves ascending and descending steps.
