Our Scientific Director Dr. David Flavell explains about the life saving research work being funded by Leukaemia Busters.
Emma Frampton and Chloe Howarth (pictured left before the event) took on the Full Mucker, a 20-mile 200 obstacle race on 6th May 2017. The event took place at Burghley House and both Emma and Chloe completed the course and had a great time. The girls have raised £530 and £200 respectively.
Leukaemia Busters was awarded a place at the above event in the charity ballot and Oliver Devon completed the course in 5:20:15 having struggled in the second half. All our congratulations go to Oliver who has raised £1898 so far.
Leukaemia Busters were delighted that Craig Mew took part in the Southampton Full Marathon 2017. Craig's sponsors have raised a brilliant £1236.76.
Taking part in the Half Marathon on Leukaemia Busters' behalf were Nikki James (pictured below) and Sarah Clarkson. Nikki has raised £249.00 and Sarah, £368.46.
Our thanks go to Craig, Nikki and Sarah and their sponsors for their support.
The first major fundraising event of the year was organised by Andy Piller in memory of his friend RJ Williams. The weather was kind to the golfers and the total raised so far is £3292 with more donations still to come. Our thanks go to Andy, RJ's family and friends for their support once again in 2017.
Andy will be taking part in an Ironman Challenge in Vichy in August and has set up a fundraising page here to allow his sponsors to fundraise for him with an ultimate goal of reaching £40,000 by his 40th birthday. Good luck with the training for the Ironman Andy.
